The nurse in the post anesthesia role coordinates the care of the patient, is the patient advocate throughout the post operative experience. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.Implements nursing plan of care on assigned patients.Evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and teaching.Demonstrates leadership skills.Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications:Florida R.N. licensureBasic Life SupportACLSPALS (preferred)Minimum Experience:One year as a PACU nurseOne year with ICU/ER experienceGood Samaritan Medical Center (GSMC) is a 333-bed acute care hospital, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, that provides sophisticated, personalized and emergency medical care to Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast with over 100 years of experience.
