Event Sales Manager

Bottega Napa Valley is seeking a highly driven, relationship-focused   Events Sales Manager   to join our team. This is a dynamic, revenue-generating role designed for a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives on building relationships, converting event opportunities, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

This position focuses on managing event sales, developing client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic partnerships, client engagement, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through relationship building, networking, and client engagement.
• Identify, develop, and convert new event opportunities, including corporate, social, and wine-focused events.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through contract execution and operational handoff.
• Consistently meet or exceed revenue goals through strategic selling, relationship management, and effective follow-up.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local wineries, hotels, concierges, event planners, and key referral sources.
• Respond to inbound inquiries with urgency, professionalism, and a strong service-oriented sales approach.
• Create compelling proposals, contracts, and BEOs that reflect Bottega’s brand standards and guest experience expectations.
• Collaborate closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
• Provide on-site event support as needed to ensure successful event delivery.
• Maintain accurate sales records, client information, and event pipeline reporting.
• Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, restaurant private dining, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in event sales, revenue generation, and client relationship management.
• Proven ability to develop opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, and close high-value events.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in Napa Valley, luxury hospitality, or a wine-focused environment strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Tripleseat, Toast, OpenTable, and Restaurant365 strongly preferred.
• Professional, polished, and guest-focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Compensation & Role Details

• Employment Type:   Exempt, salaried position
• Location:   Yountville, California
• Base Salary:  $70,500 annually
• Commission:   Eligible to earn commission based on event sales performance and revenue generated.
