The Petroleum Land Analyst role is vital to the set-up and maintenance of the Company’s ownership records. The candidate should have experience in oil and gas lease, title and division orders. Job Description Establish and maintain accurate ownership decks by analyzing various legal documents such as title opinions, assignments, deeds, trusts and estate documents. Ability to analyze oil and gas leases, title documentation and various contracts with an emphasis in Texas, North Dakota, and Louisiana minerals. Responsible for yearly payments obligations. Brief Leases, Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, Assignments, Farmouts and Letter Agreements to understand obligations in order to set up in the Land software system. Work closely with Landman to research suspense accounts and title issues. Processes ownership transfers based on title documents to maintain a correct division of interest and joint interest billing deck. Responds to division order inquiries to resolve ownership discrepancies. Communicates and corresponds directly with interest owners and works closely with members of other departments. Job Requirements 5-7 years of Division Order and/or Lease and Title experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree required. Energy related field preferred. Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and other oil and gas websites and software. Experience in Quorum software preferred but not required. Excellent verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills. An understanding of oil and gas leases, division orders and conveyance documents. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform duties at a fast pace with a high level of accuracy. Have strong social skills and the ability to work well with others. An action-oriented personality with a strong sense of initiative, motivation and drive.
