Travel Respiratory Therapist I - Pediatrics - $2,212 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a 14‑week assignment in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Assignment Overview Specialty: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 14 weeks Employment Type: Travel Hours: 36 per week Shift: 12‑hour nights, 3 days per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 6‑week cycle On‑call requirement: 1 weekend per 6 weeks Holiday coverage: As needed Responsibilities Airway management including intubation and extubation Mechanical ventilator management and weaning Aerosol therapy and oxygen therapy Tracheostomy care Perform pulmonary function testing and ABG analysis Manage blood glucose monitoring and ECMO support as needed Function independently with minimal supervision and serve as a clinical resource to other staff Maintain and improve job knowledge and skills throughout the assignment Procedures & Advanced Practice Ventilator setup, weaning, and management Endotracheal intubation/extubation ECMO management for cardiac and respiratory support UAC/UVC insertion, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression per Air Care Protocol Transport of pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals Requirements Current RRT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist At least one of the following certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or an advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in a bronchoscopy lab All certifications must be maintained as required by the certifying body Strong clinical documentation and communication skills Two professional references required for consideration License required if applicable Benefits & Compensation Pay based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) Tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined) Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance beginning day one of assignment 401(k) match Housing stipend Job ID: P-721310 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
