With a world-class business development & leadership team already in place, we are well positioned to capitalize on already overwhelming demand.The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational partner to the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding. This role owns core HR compliance functions — including I-9 verification, background checks, and workers' compensation administration — while also partnering with business leaders on people strategy, employee relations, and policy development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable balancing compliance-heavy administrative work with higher-level HR partnership, and able to communicate company-wide HR updates clearly and effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & New Hire AdministrationManage end-to-end new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience from offer acceptance through first weeks of employmentComplete and manage Form I-9 verification for all new hires, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and timely reverification where applicableSubmit and track background check requests through the company's third-party background check vendor, following up on results and flagging discrepancies per policyEnroll new hires in medical, dental, vision, and other benefit plans within required enrollment windowsCoordinate new hire paperwork, systems access requests, and orientation logisticsWorkers' CompensationManage workers' compensation claims from initial incident report through resolution, serving as the point of contact between employees, carriers, and managementEnsure timely, compliant reporting of workplace injuries in accordance with state and federal requirementsTrack claims status, maintain accurate records, and support return-to-work coordinationPolicy & CommunicationsPartner with the HR policy team to develop, update, and refine company policies and proceduresRoll out HR communications and policy updates company-wide, ensuring clarity and appropriate change managementSupport managers and employees in understanding and applying HR policies consistentlyHR Business PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to assigned business units/leaders on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational needsPartner with managers on employee relations issues, investigations, coaching, and corrective action processes, in coordination with HR leadership and legal as neededSupport performance management cycles, including goal-setting, reviews, and improvement plansProvide guidance on compensation, promotions, and role changes in partnership with Compensation/Total RewardsAnalyze HR metrics and trends (turnover, engagement, headcount) to inform recommendations to business leadersSupport workforce planning, org design, and talent management initiativesAssist with off-boarding processes, including exit interviews and separation complianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRISSupport diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at the business unit levelParticipate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience4+ years of experience in an HR generalist, HRBP, or HR coordinator roleWorking knowledge of I-9 compliance, background check processes, and workers' compensation administrationFamiliarity with benefits enrollment processes and systemsStrong understanding of employment law and HR compliance requirementsExcellent communication skills, with experience delivering company-wide communicationsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionPreferredPHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certificationExperience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, BambooHR)Experience partnering with policy or compliance teams on documentation developmentPrior experience supporting a multi-site or growing organizationCompensation: Salary: $110000- $160000 + Equity + Benefits (Healthcare, Vision, Dental, 401k, and Lunch) Singularity Defense
