Front of House Manager

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app. Responsibilities Hire, train, schedule, and manage Redfern Front of House staff. Staff and organize usher needs for all performances and train volunteer ushers as needed for rental events. Supervise Assistant and Backup House Managers. Coordinate with the Redfern Artistic Director on performance needs, and with stage management on timelines, including pre‑ and post‑show activities. Coordinate with Box Office Manager to plan staffing and resolve ticketing issues and other patron concerns. Ensure excellent customer service from front‑of‑house staff and smooth operation of the house during performances. Manage printed program distribution and secure programs and other patron materials. Ensure audience safety before, during, and after performances, including operating emergency procedures and training staff. Must be Crowd‑Manager Certified. Maintain appearance of the lobby and public areas, and keep the environment clean. Complete and distribute house reports for each performance and other administrative tasks as directed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in customer service or public‑facing roles. Supervisory experience. Required Certifications Crowd Manager Certification (training provided upon hire). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to work in a dynamic, changeable environment. Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Ability to spend significant time on feet and move quickly up and down stairs.
