About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to serve as its chief executive, strategic leader, and public voice. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission, expand its influence, and grow philanthropic support. This role is pivotal in defining the next chapter of impact, particularly in the areas of water policy and conservation. The Executive Director will be responsible for bringing people together, building trusted relationships, and advancing meaningful change through strategic leadership and advocacy. Extensive travel, as much as one week per month, is required, and the position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the region. The ideal Executive Director for the company will be a collaborative and entrepreneurial leader, capable of honoring the organization's successful past while innovating for the future. They should be prepared to work alongside an engaged Board of Directors, dedicated partners, and an extensive network of advocates. The role demands a leader who can find new ways to convene partners, strengthen relationships, and advance water advocacy in a changing world. Key responsibilities include positioning the organization for long-term sustainability and impact, and the candidate should be adept at strategic planning, and have a strong background in advocacy, and fundraising. A deep understanding of the intersection of conservation, public policy, and grassroots organizing is essential, as is the ability to navigate the complex landscape of water issues that affect diverse communities, economies, and ecosystems.
