Title Assistant/Associate Professor, Division of Oral Radiology School Harvard School of Dental Medicine Department/Area Oral Radiology/Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity Position Description The Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) is a leading institution in dental education and research. The Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity seeks a full‑time faculty member in oral radiology at the assistant or associate professor level. The appointment will provide leadership as the oral radiology discipline head, support teaching, and contribute to research and clinical practice. Responsibilities Administrative leadership as oral radiology discipline head, including supervision across departments and oversight for program accreditation. Provide clinical radiology leadership within HSDM, oversee radiology services at faculty practice, and supervise dental student rotations. Teach dental students and residents, serve as course director for radiology programs. Engage in scholarly activities and research, mentor students and residents in research projects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary research initiatives across HSDM and partner institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Participate in Cone Beam CT imaging and advanced diagnostic imaging services as appropriate. Basic Qualifications DDS or DMD degree or equivalent. Completion of a postgraduate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Board‑certified or board‑eligible for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Demonstrated scholarly activity and advancement in the field of oral and maxillofacial radiology. Additional Qualifications Experience in a leadership role within a clinical or academic setting involving a diverse student body. Record of research accomplishments. Master’s and/or Doctoral degree in a field pertinent to Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Experience or strong interest in applying artificial intelligence to imaging technologies.
