Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Apartment Building Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor inquiries, and report maintenance concerns, property damage, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
- Support daily operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, preparing incident reports, and following unarmed post orders and other security-related procedures for the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
