Executive Business Partner - Manager

Great executive support is an important part of making that happen and we think the way that support gets delivered is changing fast. We're looking for a Manager, Executive Business Partners to lead and develop the team that supports leaders across Mercury. You will also provide support for one or two of our executives in addition to managing the team. You'll support a high-performing executive support function that creates leverage for our leaders and helps the broader organization operate at its best — and you'll do it by combining sharp people leadership with a fluency in AI tools and workflows. We want someone who sees AI not as a nice-to-have but as core to what makes an EA team excellent in 2026. In this role, you'll manage a team of Executive Business Partners, providing coaching, context, and clear expectations while creating consistency in how we support leaders across the company. You'll think holistically about executive support at Mercury — from how we structure coverage and develop talent to how we build and roll out the tools, workflows, and AI-driven systems. You'll also be a trusted partner to leaders across Mercury, developing a strong understanding of the business and using that context to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and help your team navigate competing priorities. You'll bring both a people-first approach and an operational mindset, and be equally comfortable developing your team, rolling out a new AI tool, or jumping in to solve a complex problem. *Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. What you'll do: - Lead and develop a high-performing team: Manage, coach, and develop Mercury's Executive Business Partners, setting clear expectations, providing actionable feedback, and creating meaningful opportunities for growth. - Shape how executive support works at Mercury: Establish operating principles and best practices for the function, creating consistency where it matters while preserving the judgment and flexibility required to support different leaders effectively. - Advance AI as a core part of how the team operates: Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI tools and workflows that give your team real leverage and set the bar for AI fluency across the team. - Own coverage and capacity planning: Develop a holistic view of executive support needs across Mercury and proactively evolve team structure and coverage as the organization changes. - Build trusted partnerships across the company: Partner with senior leaders to understand their priorities and support needs, while supporting your team through the nuances of building effective executive partnerships. - Build for scale: Identify patterns and rebuild the systems, processes, tools, and team rhythms — including where AI can replace manual work — that make executive support more effective, efficient, and resilient as Mercury grows. - Create connection and context: Maintain the strong connection across the Executive Business Partner team and help information, best practices, and business context flow effectively across functions. What you'll bring: - Experience managing and developing Executive Assistants or Executive Business Partners, ideally in a high-growth or dynamic environment. - Hands-on experience using AI tools to meaningfully increase a team's leverage - Experience partnering with VP- and C-suite-level leaders and a strong point of view on what excellent, AI-forward executive support looks like - Strong people leadership skills, including setting expectations, delivering thoughtful feedback, developing talent, and adapting your management approach to different people and situations.
