Role You will seamlessly balance strategic leadership coaching with hands‑on HR operations, payroll, multi‑state compliance, and complex DOT regulations to support our scaling supply chain team. Employee Relations & HR Support Manage day‑to‑day employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution. Provide guidance on employee relations, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and performance matters. Partner with leaders on coaching, corrective action and performance management. Support onboarding, offboarding, and the employee life cycle. Compliance & Regulatory Support Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and company policies. Align with Finance on state registrations, and manage state portals and filings. Maintain compliance tracking and documentation for audits and reporting. Maintain compliance processes in multi‑state environments. Manage employee‑facing DOT compliance requirements, including driver eligibility, qualifications, and adherence to transportation workforce regulations. Business & Organizational Support Partner with leadership on workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational changes. Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement practical HR solutions. Manage and monitor state portals, notices, and reporting requirements. Track and maintain employment‑related documentation. Supports audits and reporting requests as needed. HR Operations & Payroll Own and process payroll for hourly and salary employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution. Administer employee benefits programs including open enrollment, changes, terminations, and employee support. Ensure payroll and benefits compliance with company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations. Maintain payroll and benefits records and ensure data accuracy in Paylocity. We Expect You To 5–10 years of HRBP (or HR Director) experience including employee relations. Experience in logistics, transportation and operational environments preferred. Payroll and benefits administration experience. Experience in multi‑state and/or global environments preferred. Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation compliance. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance. Experience supporting a remote, hybrid, or distributed multi‑state workforce.
