Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Carolina PRG has partnered with a large, publicly traded organization seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its corporate finance team. This is a newly created leadership opportunity supporting one of the company's largest operating divisions and offers outstanding visibility to senior leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for an FP&A professional who enjoys partnering with the business, leading a team, influencing operational decisions, and translating financial data into actionable insights. Rather than simply reporting results, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping them understand the drivers behind performance and identify opportunities to improve results. What You'll Do Lead a team of two Senior Financial Analysts while coaching and developing their careers. Own the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for a large operational business unit. Partner with four Regional Vice Presidents to analyze business performance, explain key financial drivers, and provide strategic recommendations throughout the month, not just at month‑end. Evaluate key business metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Perform financial modeling and ad hoc analyses supporting business initiatives, investments, and operational decisions. Standardize reporting across multiple regions while continuing to improve processes and financial visibility. Present financial results and recommendations to senior finance leaders and executive leadership. They can confidently present to executive leaders while still enjoying digging into the details behind the numbers. They build strong relationships, communicate effectively with non-financial partners, and possess a continuous improvement mindset. Successful candidates will typically bring: 6+ years of progressive FP&A, finance, or corporate finance experience. Previous leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a team. Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnering experience. Executive-level communication and presentation skills. Advanced Excel skills along with experience using business intelligence and analytics tools. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
