Financial Controller

HHM Talent is assisting a client in their search for an Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations across two rooftops in South Charlotte. Position Overview This position will lead the day-to-day accounting function for two dealerships with a combined volume of approximately 150 units per month. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical accounting strength and the ability to mentor and develop an existing team. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations for two dealership locations Manage and review month-end close, with a target of completing within 5 days Ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with dealership accounting standards Supervise a team of 5 including biller, title clerk, AP, cashier, and receptionist Train, mentor, and develop current staff to improve performance and efficiency Maintain and strengthen internal controls and processes Partner with dealership leadership and the Regional Controller on financial performance and reporting Opportunity to step into a stable team and focus on development rather than hiring Qualifications Prior automotive Controller or Assistant Controller experience required CDK DMS experience preferred, not required Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor accounting staff Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and close process Compensation & Benefits Salary: up to $150k Relocation assistance available up to $10,000 Medical, Dental, Vision 401k Savings Plan Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program Basic Life Insurance Comprehensive Employee Recognition Programs Career Training, Development, and Mentorship Programs Employee Discount on Purchases #J-18808-Ljbffr
