General Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide senior leadership and operational oversight across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating field activities, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. This role requires a confident construction professional who can lead diverse teams, manage competing priorities, and build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project execution plans, reviewing schedules and manpower requirements, and monitoring daily site progress. You will provide guidance to site superintendents and project teams, coordinate subcontractor activities, resolve field issues, and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements. The role will also involve conducting site inspections, supporting quality assurance and safety initiatives, identifying project risks, and implementing corrective actions where necessary. You will contribute to progress meetings, reporting, forecasting, change management, and the continuous improvement of construction processes.

Applicants should have significant experience in a senior site or construction management position, with a strong understanding of commercial, industrial, civil, or comparable construction environments. Proven leadership experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and cost information are essential. A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards is required, along with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting. Relevant industry qualifications, professional certifications, and experience using construction management or scheduling software will be advantageous. The successful candidate must be willing to travel between project sites as required and work collaboratively to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.
