Direct Support Professional (DSP)Location: VermontPay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)Schedule: Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem opportunities availablePosition OverviewATC Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, safety, and community inclusion.This position requires transporting individuals to appointments, community outings, and other activities; therefore, candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct care and support based on each individual's care plan.Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.Support individuals with medication reminders or medication administration, as permitted by state regulations and employer policy.Encourage independence, life skills, and participation in community activities.Transport individuals safely to appointments, recreational activities, work programs, and other scheduled outings.Document services provided and accurately complete required reports.Monitor for changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral health and communicate concerns promptly.Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.Build positive, respectful relationships with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred but not required.Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).Ability to pass all required background screenings.Valid driver's license required.Clean driving record with an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR) required.Reliable transportation.Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Why ATC Healthcare?Competitive payFlexible schedulingWeekly payDedicated recruiter supportOpportunities for career growthMeaningful work that makes a difference every dayApply TodayIf you're passionate about helping others achieve greater independence and quality of life, we'd love to hear from you.
