Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist with eligibility to practice in New York state
- Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting therapy plans for diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one or small group physical therapy sessions in a school setting
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss progress and recommend at-home exercises
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students during sessions
