Bring your interest in food handling, merchandising, and team collaboration to a role where you help maintain department standards, support your associates, and ensure customers receive a quality seafood selection every day.Main responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the Seafood Department with a focus on customer service, freshness, and department readinessProvide friendly, courteous, and helpful service and respond to customer requests and special ordersCoordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to support department coverageExecute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelinesPrepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displaysMaintain clean, organized work areas, including cases, prep areas, and equipmentMonitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired itemsManage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in-stock conditionsTrack and log required temperature checks for coolers and freezersMaintain department signage and communication updatesEnsure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational standardsWe are looking for candidates who possess the following:Soft skills:Strong customer-service focus with a positive team presenceEffective communication and collaboration skillsStrong organization and time management abilitiesAbility to follow processes and maintain consistency in daily workSkill areas:Seafood handling, preparation, and merchandising executionInventory management, ordering, and stock rotationScheduling, task coordination, and team supportFood safety, sanitation, and compliance practicesKnowledge:Seafood product handling, storage, and freshness standardsMerchandising and display techniquesStore systems, scales, and labeling toolsAbilities:Ability to review inventory levels and product movementAbility to train, coach, and support associate developmentAbility to lift, carry, and handle product and equipmentAbility to work in refrigerated environments and maintain cleanliness standardsTravel requirements: NoneOther requirements: Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business ConductWe also provide a variety of benefits including:Competitive wages paid weeklyAssociate discountsHealth and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
