Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to engage with clients from various locations while maintaining the flexibility to manage your work-life balance. Although you will primarily work independently, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of mental health professionals. You will have access to various tools and technologies to support teletherapy sessions, documentation, and communication with peers and supervisors. Given the outpatient nature of our practice, you will reach clients who may be facing immediate crises or seeking ongoing therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their emotional and behavioral issues, creating tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs and align with best practices in marriage and family therapy.

• Provide compassionate counseling and therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).

• Deliver crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring clients receive prompt support during moments of acute need while remaining sensitive to their unique circumstances.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and progress notes following established policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment and discharge plans, incorporating input from social work interventions and community resources.

• Represent Mindful Therapy & Wellness in community engagements, fostering connections with local resource groups that enhance patient care and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including children, families, adults, and older adults from various socio-economic backgrounds. This role emphasizes understanding the multifaceted challenges faced by individuals in the context of their relationships and cultural backgrounds. Your therapeutic interventions will be adapted to address each client's unique needs, especially those impacted by issues of equity and social injustice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, with an active LMFT license in California.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience providing therapy to varied clients, particularly in outpatient settings.
