Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in building quality products? Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler and help build custom copper piping systems used in critical commercial and industrial applications. This is a hands-on role offering training, career growth, and the opportunity to learn specialized fabrication skills in a supportive team environment.

As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll work alongside a small team to build custom copper piping racks and housings from the ground up. Every project is unique, giving you variety in your work and opportunities to expand your skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut and prepare copper piping and insulation to precise specifications using tape measures and hand tools.
• Perform oxyacetylene brazing on copper piping to create strong, accurate connections (training provided).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Assemble custom mechanical racks and enclosures according to customer requirements.
• Use hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques to fabricate high-quality products.
• Inspect measurements, fit, and finished assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work closely with a team of 3-4 people to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks, including MIG welding and other shop projects when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 months of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, construction, machine operation, automotive repair, or similar hands-on work.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, twist, and move throughout the workday.
• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.

Bonus Skills:

• Brazing, welding, plumbing, HVAC, farm equipment repair, or automotive repair experience.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or construction experience.
• MIG welding experience.
• Quality inspection or testing experience.

Monday - Thursday

5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Enjoy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!

This position is based in a large manufacturing facility where custom units are built in team settings. The shop is clean, organized, and well-lit. While the work can be physically active and occasionally dirty, employees enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two projects are exactly alike.

Requirements:

• Steel-toed boots required
• Long pants required
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment without air conditioning (fans provided throughout the facility)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Ramsey,MN.
