Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues while performing other professional duties related to patient care and service development.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including timely equipment trialing and ordering.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing a supportive learning environment.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and participation in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and implement the organization’s performance improvement methodology.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting is required.

Schedule

This position offers a Day shift, working 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
