Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Location: Panama City, FL
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (238-bed)
Schedule: Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) & Nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Pay Rate: $29.92 – $44.88/Hour (Midpoint: $39.21/Hour)
Night Shift Differential: +$4.00/Hour
Bonuses: Sign-on & relocation (case-by-case, not guaranteed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing inpatient care team. This role follows the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” model and focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered care across a diverse adult patient population.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments on admission and throughout each shift.

• Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly.

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.

• Carry out physician-ordered treatments and clinical procedures.

• Provide accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning.

• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required (BSN preferred).

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (Florida licensure required within 60 days if relocating).

• BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Must have acute care RN experience.

• Recent acute care experience within 3–5 years depending on total RN experience.

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-acuity hospital settings.
