Broker Sales Support Associate

About the Role Sales Support Associates act as ambassadors for Healthfirst, helping to increase enrollment and membership retention through community marketing, events and outreach. Coordinating with Medicare Sales Managers, they promote alternative plan options to seniors and work toward expanding Healthfirst’s market‑share. Key Responsibilities Coordinate events, presentations and enrollment opportunities as directed by Sales Managers. Promote Healthfirst’s mission and values to community‑based organizations, health centers, NYCHA, faith‑based groups, community boards and city agencies. Develop twenty (20) events or opportunities per month for sales representatives. Establish new relationships and maintain existing ones. Support the Sales and Marketing team to create educational and sales events within the target market. Work closely with Sales Managers to develop plans of action and understand the needs of the sales team. Meet and exceed growth and retention expectations. Prepare weekly and monthly event calendars, manage care reports, order supplies for events and submit monthly expense reports. Prepare a weekly calendar of appointments and opportunities as required. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to travel 75% of the time. Experience in Sales (e.g., retail, product, etc.), Marketing and/or Community Outreach Programs. Existing Sales or Customer Service‑related experience dealing with direct‑to‑consumer or business‑to‑business interactions, either over the phone or in‑person. Experience speaking with multi‑level audiences that can include faith‑based leaders, elected officials, C‑level executives, healthcare professionals or hospital administrators. Experience managing multiple marketing events, including changing deadlines, from beginning to end. Experience working across socio‑cultural and ethnic backgrounds and environments. Basic Microsoft Excel functions such as sorting, filtering and maintaining spreadsheets. Basic Microsoft Word document creation and integration with Excel spreadsheets for email blasts, guest lists and tracking forms. Experience modifying and updating existing PowerPoint presentations. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Vehicle and current driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited institution. Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations. Experience using AX DYNAMICS, Great Plains and any imaging systems. Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin, Fukienese, African dialects, South Asian dialects. Excel experience: standardizing reports across multiple sheets, utilizing VLOOKUPs and functions/formulas, creating, using and interpreting pivot tables, filtering and formatting to generate desired results. Hiring Range & Compensation Hiring Range – Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $68,900 – $99,620. All other locations (within approved locations): $61,300 – $91,120. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
