Interventional Radiology Technician

Schedule: 5x8hr Days, on call/callback/holiday per unit needs; 5-7 call shifts per 7 week time block (2-4 of these days will be weekend call)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience
• NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start)
• VIR Certification preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures.
• Operate all equipment proficiently and report malfunctions.
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with room turnover.
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
