About the Role Maven’s enterprise business runs on client trust. This role sits at the intersection of client needs and core product: working closely with Client Services and Growth to understand what clients need, identify when custom work is warranted, and own the build from decision through delivery. You will serve as the connective tissue between Maven’s market‑facing teams and core product, spending meaningful time on client calls, embedded with client‑facing teams, and in RFP processes where product depth matters. Additionally, you will manage one or more product managers. What You’ll Do Collaborate with Client Services and Growth on custom product work: understand commercial priorities, build a framework for evaluation, prioritization, and alignment with core product and engineering. Create a triage and prioritization framework for client requests: evaluate against platform leverage, sequence against the core roadmap, route to the right owner, and communicate decisions clearly to Client Services and Growth. Engage in forward‑deployed product work: spend time embedded with client‑facing teams, on client calls, and in RFP processes where product expertise is required. Support one or more PMs: set them up for success, invest in their development, and help them perform at their best. What You’ll Bring 7+ years in product, with significant experience in health benefits, payer systems, or a complex B2B2C environment. Fluency in eligibility and enrollment is crucial. Experience in a forward‑deployed or client‑embedded product capacity, owning relationships with external stakeholders. Ability to navigate custom client work in a scaled product organization, evaluating requests against platform leverage, knowing when to say no, and identifying a path that serves both client and core product. Experience managing or mentoring product managers, fostering product talent beyond performing tasks personally. Deep understanding of how benefits data flows from employer configuration through eligibility verification to member activation, and where it can break. Strong data skills: funnel instrumentation, activation analysis, and communicating outcomes to client success, growth, and executive stakeholders. Hands‑on fluency with AI tools as part of daily work. High ownership: operate like a founder, push through ambiguity, and take initiative without waiting for direction. Member empathy that endures even when client pressure is loud and urgent. Compensation The base salary range for this role is $217,000 – $255,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, experience, and skill set. Location & Work Model This role is open to candidates in remote locations, with a strong preference for San Francisco, CA; secondary locations include Seattle, WA and New York, NY. Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in‑person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in the San Francisco/Bay Area or Seattle, we encourage in‑person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities.
