Elementary Teacher

General Education Teacher Legacy Traditional Schools invites candidates to apply for a General Education Teacher position across various grade levels in the East Valley. Responsibilities Provide direct instruction using accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math. Implement instructional activities that promote meaningful learning, maintain a climate of active engagement, and support students’ social, physical, and intellectual growth. Select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Utilize direct instruction techniques and guide students through activities designed to foster growth needed for primary school success. Assess changing curricular needs and propose plans for improvement. Maintain effective record‑keeping procedures. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis. Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Model professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, peers, and the community. Ensure continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement for age group, subject area, or program classification. Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and community events outside normal hours as required. Support light lifting, standing, traveling to other campuses, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain it. Candidacy must include a valid teaching certificate from Arizona. Successful completion of a criminal history background check. Preferred: Current teaching certificate from within the state. Physical and Travel Requirements May require lifting objects up to 25 lb. Requires sitting for long periods, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and periods of concentration. Local and in‑state travel between campuses is required from time to time.
