We are seeking a skilled and reliable cook/chef to join our fast-paced, takeout focused kitchen. The ideal candidate specializes in Jamaican/ Caribbean cuisine and is passionate about food, works efficiently under pressure, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
• Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
• Ensure all food is prepared quickly and accurately for takeout orders
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Keep kitchen stations clean, stocked, and organized
• Assist with prep work (cutting, marinating, seasoning,)
• Monitor inventory and communicate low stock items
• Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods

• Arrive on time daily
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Be flexible with schedule (holidays)
• Follow instructions and adapt to kitchen systems
• Show initiative and a strong work ethic
• Maintain a positive attitude and respect for team members

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred (restaurant or fast-paced kitchen)
• Must be ServSafe certified
• Knowledge of food safety practices
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail

Bonus Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with Jamaican or Soul food cuisine
