Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in OWEGO, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.72 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Verify credentials and authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries entering controlled areas, maintaining accurate security-related logs and documentation. Maintain professional readiness and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, site procedures, and training requirements. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
