Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Pro Resources is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a client in Auburn, IN. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with general maintenance experience and a strong electrical background. The technician will perform maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and work with plant electrical systems. Candidates with substation experience, breaker racking experience, and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics are highly desired.


Shift and Compensation

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• Compensation: $52,000-$72,800 per year

Job Duties

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilities
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and identify the cause of equipment problems
• Read and understand plant electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Assist with maintenance of plant electrical distribution systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems
• Inspect equipment and assigned areas to identify maintenance needs
• Work safely while following LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Environmental policies
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities
• Communicate maintenance issues and repair status with supervisors, staff, and operators
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner
• Support a safe, team-oriented work environment

Background Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of general or industrial maintenance experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Experience working with plant electrical systems
• Substation experience preferred
• Experience racking in/out electrical breakers preferred
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, or related equipment is a plus
• Mechanical maintenance experience preferred
• PLC troubleshooting or robotic programming experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license required for business travel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment
