Position Type: High School Teaching/ Special Education Teacher Position: Special Education Teacher (1:1)-High School; Elementary Special Education Licensure: EBD Licensure Location: Medford Public School Salary Range: $51,131-$87,021 Per Master Contract and Experience Start Date: August 19, 2026 Overview Medford Public School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide one-to-one instructional support in the high school and some Elementary Special Education support. This role serves students with a range of needs including individualized instruction, student growth, and maintaining continuity. Responsibilities As a Special Education Teacher at Medford Public Schools, you have the opportunity to empower students with diverse academic and behavioral needs and are familiar with MTSS and data-based decision-making. Responsibilities include providing specially designed instruction aligned to student IEPs across a variety of settings, developing and implementing IEPs with ongoing progress monitoring, and using data to adjust instruction and supports. The role requires consistent collaboration with general education staff, related service providers, and families; active participation in evaluation and IEP team processes; and timely completion of due process paperwork, all while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements. This position is supported by a team-based approach that includes coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. You will share your expertise with paraprofessionals who provide support aligned to student needs.
