Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive assessments to accurately evaluate client needs and mental health conditions.

• Implement strength-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client circumstances, promoting empowerment and resilience.

• Develop and maintain personalized therapy plans that focus on skill enhancement, emotional regulation, and sustainable wellness.

• Create safety and crisis intervention plans that address immediate challenges and reduce risk.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and collaboratively plan care solutions.

• Document therapy sessions and client interactions in accordance with ethical standards and clinic policies.

• Engage in professional development activities to refine therapeutic approaches and integrate the latest evidence-based practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals facing unique mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship struggles and trauma recovery. As a counselor at Just Be Therapy, you will work closely with clients of varying backgrounds, ages, and experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of multicultural issues and the skills to provide culturally competent care that resonates with each client’s lived experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Active licensure in Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is mandatory.

• Proven ability to assess and address complex client needs effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for effective clinician-client interaction and documentation.

• Interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred.

• Experience in telehealth services or remote therapy is advantageous, but not required.

• Familiarity with treatment methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Family Systems Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
