Location: Fredericksburg, VA Position Details Job Title: Security Officer Unarmed Area Patrol Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Thu 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Fri 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention. Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing patients and guests to appropriate areas when needed. Assist with de-escalation, policy enforcement, and security-related support during high-traffic periods, after-hours activity, and/or emergency situations common to a healthcare environment. Minimum Requirements Preferred to be able to lift more than 20 lbs. Preferred to be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
