Central Regional Sales Manager - Remote

Salary: $100k base salary + Commission Year 1 Avg- $115k-$130k OTE Year 2 Avg-$150k+ OTESummary: The Central Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for selling the company's mission-critical Law Enforcement (Sheriff / Police Departments) technology to new customers within the Central Region. The RSM reports to the VP of Sales and operates under minimal supervision, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position is remote-based, and the candidate must live in the Central Time Zone. KEY PERFORMANCE AREASProactively prospect for customers, advancing qualified prospects through the sales process, and closing new sales within the Law Enforcement marketConduct effective discovery calls, virtual - remote solution presentations and software demonstrationsDevelop proposals and purchase agreements for potential clientsBuild and maintain a high-performance sales pipelineAbility to quickly learn the company's solutions and communicate key value propositions to ensure successAttend conferences and trade showsRespond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within public safety: Sheriff, Police Chief, Command Staff, CTO, CIO, 911 Directors, and other officials, to understand funding priorities and influence technology purchasingAchieve or exceed assigned quota on a consistent and repeatable basisEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONBS/BA degree in a business-related field or the equivalent in sales experienceEXPECTED KNOWLEDGESoftware solutions/technology sales into Law Enforcement (Sheriff / Police Departments)Understanding of Public Safety technology and ecosystemsNetwork of Public Safety agencies (Sheriff / Police Departments)Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions within Public Safety agenciesREQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SkillsA minimum of 5 years of software solution sales experience, successfully selling technology into Police / Sheriff DepartmentsAbility to learn and follow a proven sales processAbility to effectively conduct virtual software presentations/demonstrationsA proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotasStrong attention to detail, creative, open-minded, and focusedExperience in managing multi-state territoriesAbility to quickly learn the MS D365 opportunity reporting and forecasting toolTechnology proficiency: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.Experience in the regular use of MS Windows-based laptopsVirtual selling/home office experience.
