Property Accountant

Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for assigned properties, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and accruals. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP. Prepare and analyze property-level financial statements and variance reports. Review and code invoices, process payments, and ensure proper expense allocations. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions. Manage accounts receivable, including tenant billing, cash receipts, and collections tracking. Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations. Communicate regularly with property managers, asset managers, and other internal departments to resolve accounting issues and support operational needs. Support external audits and provide documentation as needed. Maintain compliance with company policies, lease agreements, and accounting standards.
