Job Details Specialty: MICU RN / Medical Intensive Care Unit Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460-$1,540 Location: San Antonio, TX 78229 Start Date: 08/21/2026 Job Requirements Active Texas RN license required; temporary license not accepted Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience required BLS certification required ACLS certification required NIH Stroke certification required Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity critical care environment Experience with MICU or MSICU preferred Exposure to IABP and CRRT preferred Meditech experience preferred Ability to float as needed Responsibilities Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit Monitor patient conditions closely and respond quickly to changes in acuity Perform and assist with critical care procedures including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the unit’s charting system Follow unit policies, attendance expectations, and scheduled break procedures Float to other units as required based on facility needs Apply now for this San Antonio travel nursing opportunity and join a dedicated critical care team today.
