Shop Helper / General Labor
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime shift

Looking for a dependable Shop Helper to support our warehouse, production, and metal processing operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and not afraid of physical work.

The Shop Helper will assist with material handling, shop cleanup, packaging, receiving, shipping support, and general production tasks. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a metal service center, warehouse, or industrial shop environment.

The right candidate does not need to know everything on day one, but must be dependable, safety-minded, willing to follow instructions, and ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop cleanup, sweeping, organizing, and housekeeping
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and organizing material
• Help package, wrap, palletize, crate, or prepare material for shipment
• Support receiving and shipping activities as needed
• Assist the Production Lead and Material Handler with daily shop tasks
• Help move material safely under supervision
• Pressure wash, clean, wipe down, or prepare material when required
• Stock shop supplies, consumables, and support items as needed
• Assist with basic inventory organization and material identification
• Follow company safety procedures and instructions
• Perform other general shop support duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be dependable and show up on time
• Must be willing to perform physical work throughout the day
• Must be able to lift, carry, bend, sweep, clean, and work on your feet
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn
• Must be able to follow directions and work safely
• Prior warehouse, shop, manufacturing, metal, or industrial experience is preferred but not required
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or shop equipment is helpful
• Must be able to work well with others and help wherever needed

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, common sense, and a team-first attitude. This role is a starting point, but there is room to grow into a Material Handler position for the right person.
