Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government tourism location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate professionally, document security-related activity, and contribute to a caring, reliable team at Allied Universal that acts with integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests at a government tourism location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, entrances, parking areas, offices, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
