An established and growing professional services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Oklahoma City team. This is a highly visible role supporting a fast-paced, transaction-intensive environment that requires strong accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial activity involving significant dollar amounts.

This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in a law firm or a similar environment involving high-volume transactions, complex reconciliations, settlements, trust accounting, and multi-party financial relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile high-volume, high-dollar financial transactions while maintaining accuracy and strong internal controls.
• Track and reconcile settlements, attorney fees, reimbursements, and other complex financial activity.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, accounts receivable/payable schedules, and supporting documentation across multiple entities and accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, financial statements, management reporting, and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure transactions are properly authorized, documented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with 1099 reporting, audit support, and coordination with external CPAs and advisors.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, efficiency, and financial controls.
• Maintain strict confidentiality while partnering with leadership to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of accounting experience within a law firm, specifically within a personal injury practice.
• Experience managing high-volume, high-dollar transactions.
• Experience with attorney fee allocations, settlements, trust accounting, multi-party transactions, and complex financial reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of law firm trust accounting and IOLTA concepts.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to analyze complex financial transactions across multiple accounts, entities, and business relationships.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• Experience supporting multi-entity organizations.
• Experience with legal settlement accounting, attorney fee allocations, trust accounts, and complex financial reporting.
