Job Description:


- Join our team as a vital part of our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital providing exceptional care in the ICU/PCU on night shifts!
- We seek an experienced RN ready to float to Med-Surg Units when needed.
- Utilize your skills in patient education by identifying needs and providing tailored education using effective modalities.
- Ensure patient safety through proactive measures like side rails and restraints, adhering to restraint policies, and documenting accordingly.
- Showcase your expertise in operating all essential equipment in the PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas with confidence!
- Apply your troubleshooting abilities and follow procedures for the repair of vital equipment, with access to manuals as needed.
- Implement stringent infection control and isolation procedures, documenting compliance thoroughly.
- Maintain standard precautions at all times, ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Keep accurate, complete, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during your shift.
- Ensure accurate charge recording and timely completion of physician orders.
- Conduct a thorough 24-hour check of orders as required for your shift.
- Deliver detailed and precise change-of-shift reports to your colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Report critical lab values to the physician promptly, as outlined by policy.
- Maintain and restock emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies to ensure preparedness.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
