We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented medical receptionist to join our team. As a medical receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing patient records, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
• Verify patient information and update medical records
• Collect co-pays and process insurance information
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience working in a medical or dental office setting preferred
• Proficient in using office software systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations
