As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation facility, you will work in a dynamic environment alongside other healthcare professionals including orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and physical therapist assistants. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical function, orthopedic conditions, and rehabilitation needs to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Administer a variety of orthopedic treatment modalities including therapeutic exercises, post-operative rehabilitation protocols, and manual therapy techniques.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapist assistants and support staff, ensuring that all therapy interventions are delivered according to clinical standards and policy guidelines.
• Document patient progress accurately and in real-time using our electronic health record system, and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical results.
• Engage in community outreach and health education initiatives to promote awareness of orthopedic wellness and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves treating adolescents, adults, and older adults dealing with various orthopedic injuries and conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding patients through their recovery process, allowing them to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. In some roles, you may also provide pediatric care for specialized cases.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Active state licensure or certification in physical therapy is mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required, showcasing your capacity to handle a variety of clinical scenarios effectively.
• Strong evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning skills specific to orthopedic rehabilitation are essential.
• Excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, their families, and team members are a must.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced rehabilitation technologies and methods such as dry needling or Graston Technique is advantageous.
• Current CPR certification or equivalent is preferred.
