Position Details Job Code #: JC-524366 Position #: 702-019-5157-924 Working Title: Contract Analyst Classification: ANALYST I Salary: $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 A; $4,181.00 - $5,233.00 B; $5,014.00 - $6,276.00 C # of Positions: Multiple Work Location: Sacramento County Telework: Hybrid Job Type: 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time Job Description and Duties Under the supervision of a Supervisor I, within the Division of Procurement and Contracts, the employee learns and performs analytical duties while occasionally receiving guidance from Analyst IIs. The employee is responsible for managing various aspects of the acquisition process, including analyzing requests, collaborating with Division customers to develop agreements and solicitations, posting informal competitive solicitations, evaluating bids, awarding, and executing Non‑IT service contracts, and processing contract amendments. Mandatory ethical compliance must ensure acquisition methods comply with applicable laws, rules, codes, and procedures, and deliver best value to the State. The employee is expected to demonstrate a positive attitude and deliver high‑quality, accurate, and timely service that exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities Analyze requests and develop agreements and solicitations in collaboration with Division customers. Post informal competitive solicitations, evaluate bids, award, and execute non‑IT service contracts. Process contract amendments and ensure adherence to State policies, laws, and regulations. Maintain best value for the State through diligent contract management. Provide excellent service and self‑direct self‑motivated work to meet obligations. Qualifications Minimum qualifications as specified in the Classification Specification. Proficiency in research, interpretation, and application of laws, policies, and regulations related to procurement and contracts. Ability to demonstrate responsibility and accountability in a public service environment. Competency in communication and collaborative teamwork. Meeting eligibility criteria, including exam score for Analyst I and requirement to be on the state examination list if new to state civil services. Special Requirements Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. The SOQ must be a maximum of one page, written in Arial 11‑point font, with one‑inch margins. Describe experience that demonstrates ability to research, interpret, and apply laws, policies, and regulations. Evidence of possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If base eligibility on education, submit unofficial transcripts or diploma for verification.
