Key facts Location: Brisbane, California Engagement: Contract What you'll do Manage the complete recruitment process for a variety of roles spanning scientific, technical, and corporate sectors. Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify staffing requirements, create effective search strategies, and pinpoint the essential skills and experiences necessary for success. Facilitate intake meetings, screen candidates, plan interviews, conduct debrief sessions, and oversee the offer process from beginning to end. Actively source and connect with high-caliber talent, including those not actively seeking new opportunities, to develop a strong and diverse talent pipeline. Provide valuable insights to hiring managers regarding talent market trends, candidate availability, and competitive hiring practices. Ensure a superior experience for candidates and hiring teams through effective communication, teamwork, and prompt responses. Streamline hiring processes while ensuring compliance, and maintain accurate candidate information and reporting within Greenhouse and other recruitment systems. Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing recruiting efficiency, strengthening the employer brand, and improving hiring results. Requirements A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, specifically within the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, life sciences, or similarly fast-paced and specialized sectors. Proven success in recruiting across various scientific disciplines, including R&D, CMC, Technical Operations, Clinical, and related areas, as well as corporate roles. Strong relationship-building and influencing capabilities, with the ability to establish credibility and collaborate effectively with leaders at all organizational levels. Proficiency in sourcing and engaging passive candidates through multiple channels and recruitment strategies. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple searches while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience. The ability to balance strategic talent acquisition efforts with hands‑on recruiting activities and coordination. Familiarity with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking systems is preferred. A commitment to promoting inclusive hiring practices and contributing to the development of diverse, high‑performing teams. Nice to have Experience in working with startups or small to mid‑sized companies in the biotech industry. Knowledge of the latest trends in talent acquisition and recruitment technologies. Familiarity with employer branding strategies and their implementation. Experience in conducting training sessions for hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques. A background in human resources or organizational development. Skills & tools Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to candidates and hiring teams. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, particularly Greenhouse, for managing recruitment processes. Familiarity with various sourcing tools and platforms for identifying and engaging candidates. Ability to analyze recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and make data‑driven decisions. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate offer discussions and close candidates.
