Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to clients navigating stress and mental health challenges.

• Conduct initial assessments to identify each client’s unique stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, tailoring mindfulness practices to meet their individual needs.

• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation practices, and breathing techniques aimed at promoting self-awareness, stress reduction, and emotional regulation.

• Facilitate virtual group workshops and classes on mindfulness practices, providing education on stress management and resilience-building strategies.

• Integrate mindfulness practices into individual therapy sessions to address clients' specific mental health concerns effectively.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to client care by incorporating mindfulness into comprehensive treatment plans.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and treatment objectives to monitor development and adjust strategies as necessary.

• Engage in regular personal mindfulness practice and self-reflection, as well as participate in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in mindfulness-based approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license to practice as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
