Description

• Assess a variety of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated care approaches.
• Engage in patient and family education to facilitate continuous improvement outside of therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care transitions along the treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation per state, federal, and agency policies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field through active participation in continuing education and team discussions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred candidates will hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
