Senior Accountant

1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This role will work hybrid in Richardson, TX and works Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire role that pays $51 per hour. The key to this role is prior experience with project accounting and reconciliations. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package. Job Responsibilities: Project Invoicing: Prepare, review, and issue accurate and timely invoices for technology consulting projects, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and project milestones. Payment Application: Accurately apply client payments to open invoices, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of any discrepancies. Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigating and resolving variances to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Journal Entries: Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP and internal controls. Month-End Close: Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with deadlines. Project Set-Up: Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to set up new consulting projects in the financial system, ensuring proper coding, budget alignment, and revenue recognition parameters. Vendor Set-Up: Manage onboarding of new vendors, ensuring complete and accurate information, W-9 compliance, and adherence to internal procurement policies. Client Set-Up: Oversee the client onboarding process, including creation of client accounts, verification of billing terms, and coordination with legal and sales teams for proper documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Technology Consulting Group and other departments to provide financial insights, ensure billing accuracy, and support overall operational efficiency.
