Fabrication Operator

Responsibilities Assemble and install metal building structures, including but not limited to standing up walls, roofs, sheet metal, fiber insulation, and foam board insulation. Install doors, windows, panels, framing, and other structural or mechanical components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly. Perform detailed assembly work to ensure products meet quality, safety, and customer standards. Verify materials and hardware for completeness prior to shipment. Operate forklifts, man lifts, and other material handling equipment safely. Load, unload, position, and secure building materials and finished assemblies for transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular housekeeping. Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production schedules and delivery timelines. Adapt to changing priorities, production schedules, design changes, and unexpected challenges. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, general construction, insulation or related hands‑on trade. Ability to operate small tools, grinders and drills. Familiarity with mechanical assembly, installation processes, and use of hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Physical capability to perform a range of activities: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, 10 lbs consistently. Effective communication, hearing, and visual assessment skills necessary in a manufacturing environment.
