Production Manager – Lead Light Fabrication and Window Shade Manufacturing Operations Job Overview Company: LB Contract Supply Salary/Pay Rate: $78,000 - $86,000+ per year based on experience Location: Madison, WI Job/Employment Type: Full Time Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required The Opportunity You will take the helm of a fast-growing light manufacturing and fabrication operation, initially driving production hands‑on while learning the business and core manufacturing processes. You will play a vital role in shaping the manufacturing efficiency and culture of an industry innovator. How You Will Make An Impact Manage daily fabrication schedules to ensure all client orders are completed accurately and on time. Optimize workflow efficiencies within the light fabrication shop to reduce waste and maximize output. Mentor and train incoming production staff on safety standards, equipment operation, and quality control. Oversee inventory levels of raw materials to prevent production bottlenecks and delivery delays. Required Qualifications & Experience 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or production environments. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to remain actively involved in day‑to‑day production operations. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams. Experience managing production schedules, workflow priorities, and quality standards. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated success managing multiple shifts or overseeing growing production operations. Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles or process improvement strategies. Experience in light manufacturing, fabrication, custom product assembly, building products, architectural products, or similar industries. Familiarity with inventory management, production planning, and operational performance metrics. Experience helping scale manufacturing operations, launch new processes, or build production teams is highly valued.
