Facility ManagerThe Facility Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and regulatory compliance of Patriot Environmental's Portland waste treatment, disposal, and wastewater pre-treatment facility. This role holds full P&L accountability and leads all site functions—including operations, maintenance, logistics, laboratory, and safety—to ensure efficient, compliant, and profitable operations.The Facility Manager oversees a multi-functional team in a regulated industrial environment and is responsible for optimizing throughput, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of facility performance.Essential FunctionsOperations & Site LeadershipLead daily operations across processing, maintenance, logistics, laboratory, and administrative functionsDirect and optimize waste treatment and processing activitiesOversee inbound and outbound logistics including scheduling of tankers, railcars, and trailersEnsure efficient coordination of receiving, storage, processing, and outbound shipmentsUtilize CMMS systems to ensure reliability and maintenance of facility assetsSafety & ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safety policies and proceduresMaintain compliance with RCRA, CWA, EPA, DOT, OSHA regulationsManage permits and regulatory obligations; lead inspections and permit renewalsEnsure accurate regulatory reporting and documentationFinancial & Business PerformanceOwn facility P&L, cost controls, and budget performancePartner with sales teams to support growth and profitabilityIdentify opportunities to improve throughput and operational efficiencyOversee inventory management and third-party vendor coordinationPeople LeadershipLead and develop cross-functional teamsSet performance expectations and drive accountabilityDevelop SOPs and lead training programsFoster a culture of safety and continuous improvementReporting & CoordinationProvide regular updates to senior leadershipPartner with corporate functions across operations, finance, and complianceOversee vendor and contractor performanceEducation & Essential QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or physical sciences is highly preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required7+ years in industrial waste processing, environmental services and/or related industriesProgressive leadership experienceP&L management experienceKnowledge of waste treatment, wastewater pre-treatment, and regulatory frameworks including but not limited to RCRA, CWA, EPA, DOT, OSHA.Experience with plant operations, maintenance, and permittingLogistics experience (tankers, rail, or other bulk transport)Core CompetenciesStrong operational leadership and process managementAbility to improve efficiency and solve complex problemsEffective team leadership and communication skillsAbility to operate in a regulated, safety-critical environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systemsWork EnvironmentCombination of indoor and outdoor industrial work with physical activity including walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.Crystal Clean LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
