Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds
• Level III Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
• Works with both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
• Charting in Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
• Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Active state or compact RRT license required; pending licensure not accepted — license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Solid black or black-and-white scrubs required
• Pre-start facility modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before needing to be away for 6 months prior to returning
• Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
