Chemical & Life Sciences Attorney

Merchant & Gould, one of the nation's best-in-class intellectual property law firms, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Chemical & Life Sciences practice group. This position can be located in any of our offices. The ideal candidate is a pre-2020 law school graduate with at least 5 years of small molecule pharmaceutical product experience, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and assisting in or drafting opinions. Candidates must have a chemistry undergraduate degree, and a PhD in organic chemistry is strongly preferred.

Our associate compensation structure has two components:

• a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target)
• a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. Depending on the experience level of the candidate, the hiring range starts at $200k.
